An expert in management and investment in natural resources and the mineral industry, Al Ganad has 35 years of experience in the public and private sectors. Al Ganad served as the chairman of the Yemeni Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Board until 2012.
Al Ganad founded the Yemeni Geological Association and the first geological museum in the region, and was editor of a geological bulletin. He also contributed to the inception of the National Science Museum. In the private sector, he was on the board of the Arab Mining Company from 2010 to 2013 and has supervised the studies and projects of several companies in Africa.
Al Ganad holds a doctorate in geology from Orléans University in France, a master’s degree in geochemistry from France, and a geoengineering degree from the Czech Republic.
