Dr. Najat M. Jumaan

Professor of Sana'a University; business woman

Professor at Sana’a University Faculty of Commerce and Economics. During a career spanning more than 25 years, Jumaan has held positions such as a professor of management, vice general manager at the Jumaan company, vice dean of the Financial Institution at the Ministry of Finance, chief executive officer at the Economic Opportunity Fund, and dean of the Faculty of Commerce.

Jumaan also has been a member of groups such as the Economic Reform Team, the Champion Development Team, Yemeni Women Pact for Peace and Security, and UN Women. She is a member of the Arab Businesswomen Council; the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital municipality; and the Federation Chamber of Commerce’s Financial Market and Banking Committee. She is also a National Dialogue member representing the private sector, and was the vice chairman of the economic, social and culture development team. Jumaan is also a consultant for the Council of Arab Economic Unity.

Jumaan has been widely published in academic journals and magazines, and has participated with papers in conferences and workshops. She holds a doctorate in business administration from Suez Canal University in Egypt, and prequalified courses from Cairo University in business administration. She holds a master’s degree in international business and strategic management from Azusa Pacific University in the United States, and a bachelor’s degree with honors in business administration from Sana’a University.
