Advisor to the President of the Presidential Leadership Council and Chief Executive Officer of Global View for Peace and Development. Basalama served as Yemen’s minister of transport between November 2014 and December 2015. He is a member of Team 88 and also participated in the National Dialogue Conference as a member of the state-building working group.

Basalmah holds a Master in engineering from Germany.
